If your a fan of old turn based WWII games you will lov this 1. Game crashes. Usually once you are well into a campaign. I've given up on it now - which is a big shame. I will never know whether I would have reached Moscow and crossed the Volga. Cannot recommend it. Maybe Time of Fury is more stable.. Even though the game has 'bugs' like Artillery being Infantry and saves being broken, I still like this game. Im playing as Romania and gotten alot done, by the way infantry tech is 150 i4\\nstead of 200 like in SWE and you get PP faster so it makes it so you get more done then in SWE, plus if you know how to play SWE you know how to play this. NOTE: never attack with one unit unless you have at least 5 and they have 0 without fortification. In my corrupted save as germany, I saw that the prep. for attacking the lowlands was backwards, and that Luxembourg always surrenders. When I stopped in Jan. 1941 I played 40 hours of that one game and it was when it corrupted. Propably because of my slow computer I have no idea. Still 4\/5. Lose almost every battle for no reason. I'm not sure why this game isn't more popular. It's a lot like the old style Avalon Hill\/SPI games. In fact there are even NATO style skins available. There's got to be a few of us old guys around.The interface is a difficult. You have to click 3 times to do an action and for bombing that is 3 clicks all over a scrolling map. Also when attacking; the unit can be weakened over and over without any indication if all the clicking is actually doing anything. Recommend if you long for the old style games.. Great turn-based grand strategy game for $2. I like how complicated it is, BUT would be nice if the tutorial was a little more detailed, I am so confused on how to use the Navy and transportation.. Looked like I might enjoy it, but did not. See other negative reviews for more details.. A really bad game. There is a manual but its so basic, it doesn't explain the game concepts at all, especially how strength of units and combat is handled. Combat calculations are broken...ie. you can bomb units but nothing happens. There is a fog of war, but this developer choose not to display it, which is annoying and strange. I went to their forums to try to get an explanation about combat but their forum has been abandoned, no responses. There is no naval combat...well there is but its done automatically. The GUI is very cumbersome and slow, to get units to attack its a pain, its so time consuming, they could have made it so easy, but no you have to do 5 different things if you want a unit to attack. I bought it for a dollar on sale, and I wish I hadn't...yes that's how bad it is.
